To bring this vision to life, we helped develop GoChapaa’s visual identity, keynote template, business cards, and avatars to stand out in a competitive market. Our approach was to help the brand exude trust, warmth, and modernity to target the younger tech-savvy consumer.
The design strategy stemmed from the brand name and vision. The word “chapaa” is Kenyan slang for “money”. The “G” in the logo was designed as an arrow. Hence, “money on the go”. Additionally, the logo uses a font type where its circular characters echo a (crypto) coin.
The color strategy centers around colors that represent wealth, growth, and trust. They were also optimized for print and digital touchpoints, and in-app light and dark themes. The design motif is an extension of the “G” in the logo, representing exchange and growth. Lastly, we used caricature style illustrations for the avatars, which contrast pixelated counterparts commonly seen in the crypto community.
